Diwali is one of those festivals that gives you an utmost satisfaction of lighting up lives, literally and metaphorically. Thala Diwalis are always pleasant. Let’s hear it from the brides who exclaimed with such joy and excitement.

“Diwali is a very important festival for us and we all started off by praying and wearing brand new clothes. This is my first Diwali with my husband. So we had a lot of fun bursting crackers and eating a lot of home-made sweets. And then later in the evening, we went to the apartment terrace to watch all the fireworks, and burst some crackers as well. It was a day well spent and it's always been my favourite festival. My outfits were from Tamara and Aavaranaa and his outfit was from Indian Terrain” exclaims Sharanya Srinivas.

Bhargavi Sathyaprakash with her very friendly tone says, “We celebrated Diwali at the place we belong, Coimbatore. We planned everything at the last moment but nevertheless, both our families were ready on time. We had so much fun playing with crackers and exchanging gifts with friends and family. I wore a silk saree from Kalanikethan, Chennai while Sathya wore a Kurta suit from RMKV, Chennai.”

Deekshita Manikkam, wife of Music Director Dharan says, “We had a mixed thala Diwali with the first half at my place and the next half at his. We had all the traditional rituals right from nalungu and all that. We bursted crackers and we had also arranged for a dinner at our place with family and friends later. I wore a Kanchipuram silk saree from Sundari silks while Dharan wore a silk dhothi and shirt from Nalli.”

While Samantha Akhineni is all dolled up for her thala Diwali, she had been posting updates on her personal Instagram handle as to the fun that she had been having all day. With a peach lehenga with brilliant embellishments, she sure looks like a doll, we tell you.
