“Relationship are always stronger when you are best friends first, and a couple second.” So very true. Isnt it? This lovely couple’s friendship blossomed into love and theirs has been one of the most talked about weddings in recent times.  Very few weddings have aroused as much interest and excitement as Sneha and Prasanna’s wedding and we at Shopzters, take pride in presenting their incredible wedding celebrations! Come, drench yourselves in the grandeur and revel in the joy of the celebrations!  While we have all heard of the love story of Sneha and Prasanna, what intrigued us most was their choice of vendors and also about the celebrations with a personal touch to it. We came to know that Ms. Sangeetha Suresh, Sneha’s sister, along with her husband organized the whole event and contacted her. She was indeed forthcoming to give us all the details. Here’s what she has to say about the wedding!  We had more than six months for planning. Sneha, Prasanna and I used to discuss whenever we found some time. We initially started with clothes, then went on to other aspects like catering, decorations etc. My husband is an art director. We discussed a lot of themes for the Sangeeth and finally we chose Jodha Akbar as the theme.

For the Mapillai azhaipu, we had invited close friends and family. We had a Kerala theme  with chandimelam. We all wore half white dresses. She came in a pallaaku and indeed she looked like a real princess!  In the midst of all the preparations, our mom was not well and had to undergo a major surgery a few days before the wedding. We did not expect that and it was shocking! And because of that, we did miss out on a few things. Inspite of it, we put in our maximum possible efforts.  For Sangeeth, we all started practising dance with the help of a choreographer and it was indeed a surprise for Sneha and Prasanna. Sneha knew I danced and but when my brothers who had never danced gave a performance solely for her, she became emotional. We also collected photos of Sneha and Prasanna from different people and made a video clipping!  The wedding was both in the Telugu and traditional Brahmin style. We were a little tensed as it was a little difficult to manage the crowd but we thoroughly enjoyed the celebrations.  Sneha Prasanna’s wedding reception was the first reception in ITC Grand Chola. For the entrance, we had two big peacocks made of flowers!  The backdrop was full of crystals and it was a mild, romantic décor.
