Date: 23/03/2017

Wedding is the life turning event in any girl’s life. Those memories stay afresh no matter how old you grow. What can be more memorable than designing your own outfit for your Special Day. Meet Monica, a charming bride who settled for nothing less than a stunner.

Our lovely couple Monica and Jagjith have a wonderful memory of their wedding which turned out to be as impeccable as they had planned.

“Once the wedding date was fixed, the first thing that came to my mind was my attire. I wanted my dresses to be unique and one of their kind” says Monica who further details how she did it.

The gala wedding started with the Mehendi function followed by the Reception in the evening. “Getting the perfect Lehenga was a task. I didn’t find the Ready -  to - wears really impressive. I thank my stars I found Sidney Sladen the premiere celebrity designer. He customized a gorgeous peach and golden lehenga weighing almost 12 kgs!.”

Jagjith suits were also designed by Sidney Sladen. It was a perfect match to the Lehenga with a golden valentino tie unlike the stereotypic blue ties.

The stage decoration was by Yakshaa, Coimbatore. “They made a complete makeover of the Padmavathy Hall. The venue was glowing in all gold and white and the stage was filled with sweet floral decorations” says Monica vouching for their impressive work.

Coming to the wedding part, Monica wore two silk sarees for her wedding both from Varamahalakshmi Silks, Kancheepuram. “The first one was Orange saree with a pink border. I was always fascinated by mother’s marriage saree. So I decided to go for a replica for my Muhurtham and I found an orangish red silk saree with a very heavy border just perfect”. The sarees were too impressive and Monica was delighted on pitching them.

The blouses were designed by Trim – Brim, Chennai. They had done a great thread worked blouse and a self-designer blouse for the Muhurtham, replicating the intricate art work in the saree.

Jewellery – Reception jewellery was fromKushal's Fashion Jewellery. Monica chose Swarovski diamonds for the reception. White diamonds and a heavy designer lehenga go hand in hand…

For the wedding, Monica knew what she wanted. “My wedding jewels were from Malabar Gold and Diamonds. They crafted a trendy aaram for me out of a kaaasumala….It was the first of its kind”.

Make – up and hair do – Make up and hairdo was done by Bronzer Bridal Makeup Artist Viji, who supplemented the hair style with creative hair accessories. “Thanks to Shopzters for getting Viji akka for my makeup. Shopzters was my Bible for the wedding shopping. It made my entire experience enjoyable rather than tiring” acknowledges Monica with a twinkle in her eyes.

Photography – @zero-gravity# was the choice of Monica. They covered the entire event from reception to wedding and they also had a pre – wedding shoot.

What is the secret to a healthy and glowing bride?

Monica shares her fitness secret – joining zumba classes. “Take care of your fitness, pamper your skin and save them from chemicals on nearing your wedding. Afterall its your day and you have to look stunning isn’t it” concludes Monica.
