A Fashion Designer's Beautiful Muslim Wedding

A Fashion Designer's Beautiful Muslim Wedding

Being a graduate of Fashion Designing and planning to launch a boutique of her own shortly, our beautiful bride Fazila talks about her prince charming and her pretty wedding story.

"Ours was an arranged marriage. Zaveed is an Aeronautical engineer who works in Chennai. Our families met, we spoke to each other several times and everything just fell in place.

Our engagement was in the month of July and our wedding was destined to be in December 2017. We met so many times and we even shopped all our wedding trousseau and essentials together.

For the engagement, the theme was to go all pastel. We had invited a small gathering of close friends and family of about 600 people, an event that took place in Radisson Blu, Coimbatore.

My outfit was from Collage's designer outfits collections by the designers Nad Sam Tin Zing. Since I knew fashion, I bought the outfit and tweaked it a bit to my preferences.

His outfit was designed at Coax couture and was again customized according to our preferences that went well with our pastel theme.

The stage decor, our outfits, our parents' outfits, everything were oozing off pastel shades that day.

We had a logo designed for us with our initials Z and Z. We had them printed on T-shirts, hats, on the stage and even laser cuts on our invites.

The return gifts were also customized pastel theme wise by Vermillion events.

For the Mehndi, I wore a lehenga from Collage again and it was designer Joy Mithra's and Zaveed's outfit was from @manyavar#.

For the Sangeeth, my gown was from @amethyst#.

Makeup for all the events was by Viji @bronzer-bridal-makeup-artist#. She did an amazing job and I was pretty satisfied with all the looks she gave me.

Photography purposes for all the events were covered by @zero-gravity#. Might I say they were at their best?

Our wedding took place in Karaikal. My wedding saree was from @kanakavalli# and his suit was again designed at Coax Couture.

Most of my jewelry were from @karpagam-jewellersjewelrywatches#, Coimbatore and were customised with the designs I drew. I took over a Navratna bangle and neckpiece idea and it had come out very well.

For the engagement, my jewelry were from Amrapali's Bahubali collections.

Decoration for the engagement were taken care of by Backdrop events, Coimbatore and for the wedding, it was Colour play creators with the Art director Suresh.

All my blouses were from @anya-where-tradition-meets-fashionclothing#. I've been their regular for over five years and they always render their best.

I followed a gram flour and fresh cream face pack as advised by my dermatologist. I also was sticking to the brand Kama Ayurveda for all my beauty essentials 5 to 6 months prior to the wedding.

We went on a 10-day Honeymoon trip to Langkawi and it was so much fun!
