A Gorgeous Church Wedding Amidst A Vibrant Ambience

A Gorgeous Church Wedding Amidst A Vibrant Ambience

While there are love stories that begin on a happy note and end with another, this story justifies the saying if it is meant to be, it always will be. For Marlena, a partner at Ann’s Bridal Collection and her partner Anto, a builder, it is a story worth sharing. Let’s hear it from the beautiful bride herself.

“We met each other in the year 2013 and dated for almost a month and a half. It was then I thought that we needed a break and we kind of drifted apart for over a year. One evening in Besant nagar beach, we bumped into each other and there began our love story all over again. With the blessings of our friends and family alike, we took our wedding vows and took over everything that was put forth in life.

On the 7th of January, 2017 was our engagement at Hyatt, Chennai. I wore a lehenga from Mumbai and later, a Kanchipuram silk saree from @varamahalakshmi-silks#. The decorations for all events were done by Tara Decors. I loved their Traditional South India rendition of my engagement décor so much.

My sister owns a makeup artistry called “Red lips makeup artistry” in Chennai and I should give it to her for making me look flawless on my big day. Photography was by @rakesh-prakash# and I we loved all the pictures.

The wedding was a typical Christian one. It took place at the Cathedral in Santhome. I wore a gown that was designed by me and my sister. It took two years for us to get it done since I wanted it to be perfect in every way possible. The fabric was purchased from Singapore and we loved making every bit of the dress. My diamond jewelry set was from @vbj# Chennai. Anto wore a suit which was from Hong Kong.

The decorators were Tara, again and I loved how they reciprocated the work on set. All of us were very impressed. It was a @vipin# for the wedding and reception. Needless to say, he is brilliant.

Back again with the reception at Leela Palace, it was a dream come true. My lehenga and the sherwani that Anto wore, were from @sabyasachi-hyderabad#.  Most of my jewelry were from Vummidi and Tanishq. The bangles were from Singapore. Few other jewelry were from Malaysia as well.

All I did was keep myself hydrated by taking in a lot of juices. I also made it a mandate to dab some cold rose water all over my face before hitting the bed.

After the wedding we visited Santorini, Rome, Italy and Venice for our Honeymoon. Since Anto is good in planning, he planned well in advance and our trip was hassle free. We also visited Bali a month ago and we might as well call it a second honeymoon.

We must give it to Shopzters for making the lives of brides easier in planning for their big day. I love how beautiful your blogs are and how you guys take utmost care in choosing your pictures. You guys are amazing.
