A Perfect Hyderabadi Wedding That Was Planned In 2 Months
Samskruthi and Pridvi were introduced to one another through their families. It was a well planned arranged marriage. People say love can happen after marriage. But they fell for each other in the two months they had before the wedding! Here is everything you need to know about planning a great wedding in a short span of time. now We hand over the mic to Samskruthi.
I was introduced to Pridvi by my parents. Ours was an arranged marriage. Our parents took the initiative and since our familiy backgrounds matched, they asked us to meet each other and see how it works out. Pridvi and I first met three months before our wedding. We met and the rest of it happened quickly. Almost immediately I knew that he was the one for me. We took our own sweet time and fell for each other. Love happened eventually but I knew from the start that he always made me feel special, and that he always would.
The date was fixed as April 12 2017. Which meant that we had almost two months to plan, prepare, shop and arrange for everything we would need at the wedding. But that didn’t stop us from having some great fun pre-wedding functions. We had 3 functions before the wedding. A cocktail party, a bridal shower and a mehendi ceremony.
Let me be honest here. It is not simple to plan a wedding in such a short duration. It was very hectic. What made it easy was that I had a clear idea about how I wanted my wedding to be like. That was half the work done. I had my close friends and family to plan the events. They helped me in getting all the outfits designed and things organised. Those are the most tedious parts of the wedding planning process.
To begin with, the wedding venue was fixed at Vorla Laxma Reddy Conventions in Secunderabad. Finalising the vendors and the venue took most of the time. It's tough to find the right vendors with so many options! It's even more difficult to find the right vendor who fits in to your budget and also who meets your requirements. All of that without compromising on the quality. Another thing you need to look at while fixing a vendor is their sevice history. You need someone who finishes the job in the given time, without burning a hole in your pocket.
We had an online invitation and the hard copies were taken care of by we got the invitations done from Vaibhav Cards, Hyderabad.
Coming to outfits, my sarees were from Sai Kanchi, Radha Krishna mandir Hyderabad and @tulsi-silks-1# Chennai. I got my lehengas from Bhargavi Kunam and @ashwini-reddyfashion-designer#. Pridvis clothes were purchased from Portfolio Hyderabad and @jade-blue#. Photography and videography was by Fotofreaks.
All my jewellery was from Mussadilal and Neelkanth jewellers Hyderabad. Sohini Ghanate of @soh-touch-makeup-artistry-sohini# was in charge of my make up while artist Ashok did my mehendi.
I have a few things to say to all soon to be brides. Eat Healthy, get enough sleep and take good care of your skin. Follow a strict beauty regiment for months before the wedding and also work out to relieve your stress. And try to find the balance between your work, and planning the events and also your health.
If you know the exact date of the wedding months before the big day, plan accordingly and don't rush with things. Organise vendors and decide on everything event-wise. Ask your friends and do your bit of homework like browsing online and collect information before the wedding and execute the list accordingly.
