A wedding is not just a union of two hearts but two families. It holds true in the wedding story of Shilpa and Rahul, where their parents were so happy with the union of their families as they were family friends. Though it was an arranged marriage, Shilpa felt sparks right after one conversation with Rahul. Their first meeting at Cochin became a boisterous family reunion as soon as their parents started talking with each other after 20 years, forgetting to let the boy and girl to talk to each other. After their initial meeting, in a months time the couple were engaged and in 3 months they tied the knot. The bride says she nodded yes as she felt positive vibes after talking to the groom and that he was simple, honest and easy to connect.

The bride mentions that the most emotional moment for her was the kannyadhaan. She says that however chirpy and upbeat you are, the moment your father gives you away, you give in to emotion and become the daddy’s  little girl. She says the most fun moment was when the groom’s friends had arranged a janta mela to perform to which they all all danced letting loose after performing a whirlwind of rituals. It was also memorable when Malayalam super star Mamooty graced the occasion and blessed us.
