A Cheery Bride + A Lively Groom + Joyful Friends = A Gala Wedding
"Behind every happy couple lies two people who fought hard to overcome all obstacles and interference to be that way. Why? Because it's what they wanted." ~ Kim George
They felt it right and there they went planning their wedding! Presenting the wedding story of Keerthana & Sharan! Sharan is an Economics graduate from Loyola and runs a coffee shop opposite to Stella Maris and myself an MBA graduate from JCU, Singapore. We were in a relationship for over three years and then took it up for our wedding. We met while we were studying and were really good friends and then we felt it was the right to start a relationship. Our wedding got fixed and we had solid 8 months to plan a perfect wedding. I was happy that I was getting married, at the same time, I never wanted to leave my parents. It's fun indeed to get married! You are totally pampered and given so much of attention. All you will see is happy faces around you. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Sangeeth was a lot of fun too.
The best part about it was the dance practice with all his cousins. I loved seeing my parents dance! It had some emotional moments too. My parents spoke about me from my childhood to the time I was getting married and tears filled my eyes! Our excitement level was really high as the wedding dates kept coming closer. Since ours was a love marriage, I would say it wasn’t an easy task at all. Wedding Venue Our wedding was held at the Thirupurakundram temple. We had two receptions one the previous evening of the wedding and one in the afternoon after the wedding. The evening reception was held at Madurai Heritage and the afternoon reception at Taj, Madurai. Sangeet We had our sangeet event at Le Meridian Coimbatore which was organized by Elephanttine Eventz.
The organizers were so good that they made everyone dance right from the oldest member of the family to the youngest!
Wedding Outfits Sharan and myself did all our shopping together because we felt both of us had to be satisfied with all the shopping. My wedding saree and an afternoon reception saree was bought at Kanchipuram.
My sangeet lehenga and my evening reception saree were bought from Man Mandir. Sharan’s Suit was done by Osman Abdul Rasaq at Gabbana Life. I have to mention about my blouses which was designed by a very good friend of mine. She has her boutique in Coimbatore called Keya. She took some extra efforts to give her best. Jewellery
My jewellery was bought at different places like Tanishq, Prince Jewellery, Kazhana etc., all from Chennai. It was all my mom’s efforts to get her daughter the best jewellery. Make up The make up for all the functions was done exceptionally by @bridal-studio-noor# and his team. Décor Our décor was done by Elephanttine Events. I should definitely mention about them. They are so professional and they exactly bring out what their clients have in mind. Photography Our photographer is Mr.@vipin# and Vasu and they are the best. They totally bring out the best from the bride and groom. We had so much fun shooting with Vipin and Vasu. They are more of a family to us. Honeymoon is something we are looking forward to as we don’t want a casual normal one. We are planning an adventurous honeymoon. More pics from the Reception:
