The Beautiful Kongu Wedding of This Lovely Salem Couple!

We at Shopzters are proud to say that we helped Dhejashvini and Ajay plan their wedding with us and we had a gala time at it! They were extremely cooperative and we made sure it was tailormade to their personalities!

So here goes this couple's adorable love story in Dhejashvini's words-

"It all began on the first day of school! That was when I saw Ajay. He was in a different class but we were both bus mates. We never made conversation for about 6 months. One day, I got his phone number from someone and I called him. After that, there was no stopping us. 100’s of calls, non-stop banter, chatting, texting and all the typical courtship romance! All of this happened during my 11th grade. This was around the time when I first introduced Ajay to my mom as a friend. We started out as good friends but as we got to know each other better, we realised we had feelings for each other. He proposed to me and I immediately said yes after which we had a beautiful relationship! 

But when college began, we lost touch. For around 5 years, we did not speak at all! I always try to at least wish him on his birthday, so I called at 12 am in the year 2015 and just like that, the seed of love was planted yet again as this time he asked me to marry him! I took a week to think about it and finally replied with a resounding yes! Ajay spoke to his parents and there was no opposition but my end was the tough nut to crack. The very task of convincing my parents was daunting. 4 years later, my father began the groom-hunting process for me. When they went to check with the Astrologer, he said that it was best to get me married to the man I was in love with. Only then I had a good future is what he said.

Beyond this, my mother also played a huge part in convincing my father and the rest of the family. Things finally worked out in 2019 and voila! It was done!

Our wedding was a beautiful two-day event. On Feb 10th, we had our Reception at Kongu Thirumana Maligai, Attur. The Muhurtham was held in the same mandapam on Feb 11th.

Our caterer was Venkateshwara Food Catering. All the guests had remarked that they loved the food!

@creative-wedding-photography# covered all our events. They did a brilliant job in capturing all our beautiful moments with unmatched sincerity and professionalism. Our photographers came up with lots of unique and spontaneous ideas for different poses and shots!

All my blouses were designed by @sajna-bridal-wear-designer# from Chennai. They were perfectionists and did a wonderful job!

My wedding saree was from @a-s-babu-sah#, Kanchipuram. 

Our reception was on 10th Feb and I wore a Blue lehenga which was from @kay-the-fashion-bay#, Chennai.

Ajay’s Indo-western outfit for the reception was from Kora, Chennai.

Wedding jewels were from Sonal Fashions and @kushals-fashion-jewellery#, Pondy Bazaar, Chennai.

My reception and wedding makeover was beautifully done by @viji-sharath-makeup-artist#. They both did an amazing job of making us look elegant. They put us at ease and made sure we were comfortable.

Our Reception and Wedding decor were done by V decorators, Erode.

For our honeymoon, we went to Coorg Orange County. It was amazing and we also had a beautiful post-wedding shoot over there, shot by @creative-wedding-photography# and team.
