Two Childhood Friends & Their Happily Ever After
This is Abinaya from Tirupur. I am currently residing in UAE.
Here is my wedding story!
Since Gokul and I are relatives, it was a unanimous thought by both our families for us to get us married. When asked for my opinion, I happily accepted since I knew him really well from childhood. He too had a strong feeling that our interests will definitely connect well and time only proved the same!
Gokul is an engineer working in UAE so we got to meet only once before marriage for shopping our wedding trousseau and we used to talk through endless Skype calls. Being miles apart, internet seemed to be the most feasible option to search and select vendors together.
I was really stunned when he surprised me by arriving in India for our marriage a few days earlier than the date that he had fabricated.
My engagement saree was from @mahaveers-the-silk-peopleclothing#, Coimbatore. My muhurtham and reception sarees were from Ganesh Shah, Coimbatore. They have a really good collection and I chose a mittai pink one for my wedding.
All my blouses were designed by Adune's, Pollachi. They were perfectionists and did a wonderful job.
I wore a bright red lehenga after my engagement which was from @kalanikethan#, Coimbatore.
Gokul's indo-western suit for the reception was from @manyavar#, Coimbatore.
My engagement jewel was from Rathan Jewellers, Coimbatore. All other wedding jewels were from @sumangali-jewellersshoppingretail#Jewellers, Coimbatore and Kandavel Jewellers, Tirupur. We chose our platinum love bands in Kirtilals, Coimbatore. I shopped my fashion jewellery in @kushals-fashion-jewellery#, Coimbatore.
Our wedding was a three-day event. On August 22, we had our engagement at Gayathri Hotel, Kangeyam. We held a simple wedding at Madavizhagam temple, Kangeyam on August 23.
Our reception was held a day after on August 25 at DRG Marriage Hall, Tirupur. We also had Mehendi and Sangeeth functions among family and friends on the same day morning.
@studio-31# covered all our events except Sangeeth. They did a brilliant job in capturing our beautiful moments. Arvndvisual clicked pictures for our Sangeeth.
Our photographer came up with a unique and spontaneous idea for our photo shoot. So we went back to the good old days in terms of costume and location and shot in our farm featuring as farmers.
My reception makeover was beautifully done by @scarlet-makeup-artistry-by-swathi#. She did an amazing job in making me look absolutely good.
I will have to specially mention my Mehendi done by Saranya mehndi art, Coimbatore. Her design literally look like print.
Our cute little wedding card was from Quirky Invitations, Coimbatore. Not a person missed saying that our card looked really beautiful.
Our reception decor was done by Roja decorators, Sulur.
For our honeymoon, we went to Koh Samui, Thailand. It is indeed a calm and serene paradise when you explore it on a bike.
