16 Years Of Trisha

Trisha the trendsetter!

It all just seems like yesterday and it has already been 16 years now. Her beauty and iconic style have only gotten better with time. Our favourite star, a bundle of allure- “Trisha Krishnan”. Being an actress in the Kollywood industry is amazing but being one of the top actresses and still owning the industry's heart is truly jaw dropping! Kudos to her passion, hard work and dedication. To celebrate this beautiful journey, we at Shopzters have put together some of our favourite trends till date!

2009 –Sarvam

The lehengas have been a tradition of the North since a very long time but since recently, many women in the south have also begun to follow the trend of fancy lehengas. Her posh jewellery and stunning designer blouses are definitely noteworthy!

2010 –Vinnaithandi Varuvaya

Those classic cotton sarees, indigo prints and simple yet dignified looking chudidhars...ufff! Jessie is still a timeless trendsetter, who sure is a style icon for many South Indian women even today.

2011 – Mankatha

The very first look of Trisha in the movie where she wears a solid colour short Salwar Kameez with a bright coloured patiyala and a beautiful embroidered statement shawl, an attire that was casual in the North but trend setting in the south.

 2015 –Yennai Arindhal

This movie portrayed Trisha as a beautiful dancer with an ethnic style, wearing the most elegant drapes. Her silk sarees, traditional cottons set the trend after the movie. Those beautiful almond shaped Kajal rimmed-eyes and the long wavy hair sure set the mark for all of us girls to follow!

2016 – Kodi

A smart politician, a persistent strong women fuelled by ambition and bravery. All these powerful streaks can be showcased in a person visually only with the right strong fabric, representing the same. Yes, linens! And Trisha sure gave the weavers a lot more work as the demand went up manifold post the release of this movie.

2018 – 96

When we say Jaanu, the first thing that comes to our minds is that simple yellow kurti with an indigo silk stole on top. This attire is not only iconic because of how the movie turned an overnight success but also because of how simple and elegant it was. This definitely was one of Trisha’s best movies in her career and boy, did she do justice to the simplicity of this look!
