A Singapore Love story – Lovebirds Abi and Vishnu tie the knot!
When Singapore girl Abaranji met a guy with her wavelength, who let her be herself and made her feel complete, she immediately gave her heart to Vishnu, a Madurai born Indian!
Like every couple in love, they had their fun dating period and a bit of struggle to convince their parents. Once their parents nodded in agreement, they could clearly hear the wedding bells ring! Let’s hear what the bride has to say!
“Like every bride, I wanted my wedding to be perfect. But, looking at Instagram and Facebook for ideas only made me more confused and unsure.
That’s when @the-event-tale# came to my rescue. They helped me plan and shop for my wedding every step of the way. They guided us and cleared our overwhelmed minds about the right choices.
With their guidance, I shopped all my traditional wedding and engagement sarees from Prakash Silks and @a-s-babu-sah# at Kanjeepuram. I loved the wide range of collections in both the shops.
For my reception, I preferred an Indo-western lehenga that I bought at Kay, Anna Nagar. Vishnu’s sherwani was designed by Heeba at @gatsby-collection# and she did a splendid job.
My jewellery was from @fine-shine#, Anna Nagar. They had such beautiful designs and their customer service was top notch!
I chose @make-up-rosh# as they were experts in natural-looking matte makeup. Roshini did a wonderful job and I loved my look!
The wedding photography and videography was covered by @creative-wedding-photography#. They were such professionals and made us feel comfortable in our own skin. They also came up with innovative ideas to pose and shoot.
The decor for my wedding was done by the Chamber of commerce, Madurai (the venue itself). I requested for a red and white floral theme for the reception and a golden theme for my wedding which came out splendidly. It looked grand yet classy in our wedding photos.
The catering service was provided by Nellai catering who made all our guests happy with their sumptuous feast.
Regarding my health and diet before the big day, I didn’t do much but eat well and keep myself hydrated as I am already on the slimmer side. I did follow a beauty routine where I applied a face mask made from basan, curd, turmeric and rice flour every other day.
For our Honeymoon, we visited Ubud, Bali. Bali is a tropical paradise and we loved our time there. We loved visiting the Bali zoo where most of the animals were left in the open. We also relaxed in sprawling azure beaches like Kuta beach, Seminyak beach. We quenched our adventure thirst in the Bali swing by swinging over the paddy terrace. It was fun and gave us picturesque photo ops.
But the most surreal experience was climbing the volcanic Mt. Batur at 2 am to see the sunrise. It was almost spiritual to see the sunrise, from above the clouds in a different perspective. We felt rejuvenated after the 5-hour trek. That was my favourite moment that I will cherish forever! I look forward to having more such wonderful moments in our wedded journey!”
