New Year, New Beginnings - A Colourful Wedding Story From Erode

Here we have a bride who began her new year on a truly divine note, meeting her to-be husband in a temple. What began then paved the way for a future that they plan on making together.

Hello everyone, I am Dharini from Erode. Behind every great smile is my truly amazing family. And yes, they found the love of my life. Mano and I met on January 1, 2016 in a temple through our families.

The first meeting we had, the first smile at each other, the first words we spoke was a wonderful beginning of our eternal love. Our engagement was in February and our wedding was fixed on June 22 & 23 at Muthu Mahal, Erode.

The most romantic moment for me though was outside the wedding, on my birthday before our wedding day, he surprised me by proposing at his farm house with a bouquet and a ring. 

Our wedding was a lot of fun and it was amazing to see and talk to all the wonderful people who came out to see us.

I choose to wear saree for my reception and wedding. Reception saree was picked from Varamahalakshmi, wedding saree from Prakash silks and also bought more sarees from AS Babu Sah for other functions. Manju akka at Smrithis, Coimbatore did extraordinary work on my blouse designs.

My Mehendi was a closed function with only immediate family, I wore a salwar suit from Shantala, Coimbatore and Mehendi artist was the amazing Amule.

I did all my jewellery shopping in Coimbatore.  All the jewels were from Rathan Jewel, Sumangali Jewellers and Kanakalakshmi Diamonds.

 My makeup was done by Ibrahim and Raju makeup artist, Chennai. And obviously it goes without saying that their work was fabulous.

Our wedding would have been incomplete without Mystic Studios. They were very friendly and Saravanan Anna and his team did a profound level of job.

The decor was done by Sarasu Decorators, Erode. Being our Uncle's friend, they listened to our interest patiently and did an elegant work. 

The food was served by S.P.Ganesh caters, Erode who did a great job of serving around 10,000 people and the food was appreciated by all our guests.

We also had a special guest at our reception, Mr & Mrs Bhagyaraj, my dad's friend.

And now we have chosen Austria and Switzerland as our honeymoon destinations. The most surprising thing that happened was that amidst all this, my friends decided to throw me a bachelorette party that was all I needed to unwind, they made a photo booth area and came up with props for some quirky photos.
