Wedding Memories That Last Forever!! Real Wedding Story Of Swetha and Senthil
So, being a (love)ly - arranged marriage and perks of having 7 years of relationship and families being best of friends, ours was the most smoothest wedding anybody could ask for.Since we are long time family friends and I've known my guy since age 7.. But it all happened in my 10th grade, when he swept me off my feet with his charm and his natural flow, made me standstill and dumbstruck and never let me even have a second thought to accept the proposal..!Years flew with my hero and our families came to know , still let us free to take our own decision when time comes...And one day.. It came :) I had just finished my Under Graduation and had a two months break, with plans of doing my post graduation... My in-laws with much excitement came in to ask for their daughter-in-law (giggles). How could I say no? My then fiance was doing his business and my family didn't want to postpone a good proposal.Things fell in place... And Drum rolls please...
We got engaged on October,2015 with perfectly customized rings for us, The king and the Queen! We finally got hitched..Our wedding was scheduled on January 29th,2016 and Reception on the 28th at Mohan Gardens,Korattur. Though we specifically wanted a huge hall for both our extreme galaxies to fit in, by default we had to go with this hall which accommodated 1000 seating and a lawn giving more space. Our fathers had a huge time planning our wedding since may, when they had come to see their Marumagal at home.Advantages of being friends made them go easier in arranging and organizing things without hassles. Our mothers being the nicest of friends ,were on call almost all the day as the D-day neared to make sure everything was perfect. Is wedding a reason for shopping?! Oh, we shop even if we had to go for our friend's sister's cousin's wedding. How do we shop for ours? It all started with my engagement shopping. My saree was from Kumaran Silks,TNagar which my Mother-in-law had selected for me, our favourite Green pattu with pink border and my jewels from GRT jewellers, a beautiful piece of Choker beaded necklace and earrings. How can I forget my first look-Violet saree from Pothys and a huge sized Bahubali Necklace from Women's world, TNagar with matching Big Jhumkas (my favourite)
Wedding,Reception and Sangeet...I planned for an Indo-Western Gown for my reception but it eventually got changed to a beautiful lehenga bought from Rangeela, Parrys, a range of best designer pieces in the city. I got a royal blue lehenga with White 3D stones work all over the piece, weighing almost another half of my body where I had to stand with it almost for 6 hours, but all beautiful and glamy with my Hub-to-be in his Classy white suit with mirror customized from Mokshaa, Cathedral road.My sangeet saree was from Rangeela as well, a rich georgette with netted material and a heavy blouse which I matched with a beautiful pearl mang tikka and earrings and added a designer bridal nose ring making it pure North Indianish. Luckily falling in love with a guy of my same caste, We followed pucca telugu wedding ceremony. We had our Sangeet function at Andhra Club,TNagar specially for our darling friends and our first circle who gave us back to back surprises and fun :)
And the main picture started..Our Reception night and Wedding was filled with memories from all sides which is going to last forever and finally the team who captured all our moments to put in the frames, @aa-photography#, which we booked a year back without any second thought, especially for their colours, feel and the personal touch. They not only gave our pictures but everlasting memories.Followed by which we planned our honeymoon to Bali and Singapore.. We specifically wanted it to be a beach destination and Bali made a best choice, with brilliant scenery and amazing water activities and lovely spots to visit.A city of fun and lights and money, with long road walks and exploring the famous of the famous spots, was all about Singapore.
