A Story Of High School Romance Sealed Into Wedlock
The story of Priya and Ranjith is one that blossomed during their teenage years and made their headway to a classic wedlock.
We went to the same school and knew each other quite well. Our marriage was a love cum arranged one. We had our fair share of ups and downs but held on to each other through it all. We were overjoyed to finally have our engagement in the month of June 2016 in the midst of our families and friends, and we had a spectacular wedding in November.
The wedding took place at the Sri Convention Centre, Bangalore. Our wedding shopping took a span of about 6 months to complete.
The wedding saree was brought from Kancheepuram. It was a cream saree with an elaborate red border. It was teamed with a red blouse with red, green and gold works along the neckline and sleeves. The groom wore the traditional veshti and sattai.
The reception lehenga was by Monali Ranka, Fulki, Koramangala. It consisted of a tangy orange blouse with a candy pink heavily worked skirt and duppatta. It had a flare of about 45 meters. I was extremely fortunate to have laid my eyes on this work of art as it was a designed and imported from a workshop in Paris.
My go to designer for the mehendi, sangeeth and the bangle function was Divya Raju. She also designed the blouses for the events. She was most definitely the best designer!
The jewelry for the occasions were purchased from Abushan. They had a wide range of unique designs that were distinctive to my taste.
The wedding was planned and carried out by LAKIRU. They did a wonderful job with unique backdrops and varied ambiences.
Shankar Katwe photography captured all our special moments and gave us lasting memories to look back at. We had our pre-wedding shoot in the beautiful city of Goa.
