Bride Of The Month! - October'15

A radiant bindi?, a sparkling headpiece, dazzling gold jewellery, a breathtaking silk saree?, beautiful mehandi designs, the garlands and flowers and added to that the tinkling sound of bangles! It's no wonder that ever Indian bride is beautiful! The resplendent Swathi and her Prince Charming Aravind make such a splendid pair! Presenting their wedding story.

Thus the prince of her dreams came, swept her off her feet and carried her into a world where they lived happily ever after. Well this is how every little girl's marriage imagination would be and the same goes for me as well.

Hi everyone, I am Swathi Sri Ravikumar hailing from Coimbatore. Well, marriage was something which I was not prepared for, but surprisingly it turned out to be the best decision I had ever made in life.

Meet Aravind, the guy who turned my world upside down, my prince charming.

Basically being an arranged marriage, we had to go through a series of procedures before we could even see each other. But I guess that was the best part. He turned out to be the guy whom every girl likes. The shy, quite, charming person. He quickly won the hearts of my family and eventually mine as well.

We got engaged on 22nd March 2015 at The Residency, Coimbatore and the wedding was fixed for 6th July 2015 at Brindhavan Auditorium, Chinniampalayam, Coimbatore. We had only three months between the engagement and the wedding, which was quite hectic at the end.

Being a very choosy person I wanted everything to be perfect and unique. I decided to wear saree for both the occasions (reception and wedding). Thus, went to Kanchipuram itself. My reception saree was bought in Babu Shah, Kanchipuram and the wedding saree was from Vara Mahalakshmi Silks, Kanchipuram. Just as I wanted it to be !!

Nowadays , more than the saree the blouses need to be at its best!! Hence, I chose @anya-where-tradition-meets-fashionclothing#, Coimbatore. I didn't have to worry about the fit or the design, say embroidery or thread work or stone work, the brides satisfaction is the only motto of theirs!! With at most care and dedication, they made it very comfortable for me.

Next the Jewels, being a lover of antique and kemp jewellery I choose, @karpagam-jewellersjewelrywatches#, Coimbatore and the diamond jewellery was from Tara Diamonds in Coimbatore too.

My make up was done by @bridal-studio-noor# from Chennai. He did a fabulous job for both the reception and the muhurtham. The best part about him is that he gives you a very natural look and brings out the best in you.

We had a small mehendi function at home and had some of my friends and cousins come over. And I have to say, my mehendi got a lot of appreciation as the design was neat and intricate. Both of us are lovers of photography, we wanted our wedding pictures to be one of a kind and the best of all. Thus, we had only one person in mind, @vipin#.

He is well known for his candid shots and just as accepted, our wedding pictures were amazing and was appreciated by everyone. I have to thank Vipin anna for that.

The Decor was done by Mr.Nagaraj (Ramnagar, Coimbatore) and we decided to involve a lot of flowers.

The catering was by Hari catering, Erode. One of the most spoken things about my wedding was the food. Even today, every one keep talking about the food they had at a wedding, my wedding saying it was one of the best they had ever had. I should thank Mr.Hari only for those comments.

We also had a special guest at our wedding. Mr. Sivakarthikeyan, my husband's friend showed up for both wedding and reception.

And Finally after all those rituals, relatives, functions and temple visits we chose Phuket,Hong Kong and Macau as our honeymoon destinations!!
