The Coimbatore Bound Bride - Nishaa Venugopalan & Suhas

Nishaa Venugopalan and Suhas's is an arranged marriage that soon turned into an unbreakable bond. They met for the first time on September 24th and after speaking for a while realised that they were perfect for each other. Despite her being from Coimbatore and him from Chennai, they matched on various levels. Their love and dedication towards each other shines out in the pictures.The couple decided to get engaged in Coimbatore on November 22nd at the Grand Regent. The golden and red saree Nishaa wore was from Shresht in Coimbatore, which she describes as a personal favourite and the blouse was by Anya.The jewellery she wore for the function was from Dar, Karpagam and Joyalukkas, she mixed and matched designs to find the perfect match.The plate décor, which was an important part of the engagement was done by Sanghyas which left everybody spellbound.
 

The photography was done by @priyavision# Sabari from Coimbatore and the results were magnificent.However, Nishaa enjoyed her make-up artist Maria’s company the most, who is based in Coimbatore and did her her make-up for the engagement, mehndi and kaal pidikaan function.On May 14th, the mehendi and sangeet for the bride was held at her home in Coimbatore. The theme for the function was flower based, and saw a lot of decoration.Nishaa opted for some delicate and beautiful flower jewellery which was provided by Aparna Nagaraj Decors, who also decorated the stage for the mehendi ceremony in a beautiful pink and yellow combination.The catering for the event was done by Blessing caterers, the family was very happy with the food. The most important part of the ceremony, the mehendi was done by Ajab from Coimbatore, with intricate designs and dedication.The next ceremony that took place for the couple was Kaal Pidikaan function, which is a Malayalam custom of taking blessings from the elders.

The theme for the occasion was peacock and Nishaa opted to wear a rather traditional onam styled saree, which matched with the rest of her family.The function was held at Suguna auditorium, kalapaati road for close family. The stage décor was once again done by Aparna Nagaraj Décor showcasing their creativity and excellence, which carried on to the wedding as well.For the catering they got Ronak caterers especially from Bangalore for their amazing food, they also catered the wedding.Nishaa faced some difficulties when she came to Chennai for her wedding shopping as it was during the floods, and so she went back to Coimbatore and shopped for both her wedding and reception clothes from there.Her favourite outfit was the pink and golden saree, which she describes as the perfect shade of golden from PSR Silks.The wedding was held in Coimbatore but this time Nishaa opted for a makeup artist from Chennai, Ibraham who did an excellent job and left the bride gleaming.The jewellery for the wedding was a collection from many antique stores which caught Nishaa’s eye.Lumiere Photography from Ernaculam shot the couple both on the wedding day and the post-wedding couple shoot. The post-wedding shoot was held at the coco lagoon resort, where the couple wore traditional attire and played with a lot of water elements.

However, Nishaa’s favourite photograph is the perfectly timed click that caught her husband tying the knot. When asked about her favourite moment she said, “When I had one friend from Australia fly down with family to attend the wedding, it really touched my heart”.The reception took place on 21st of May at Ambika Empire in Chennai, with Ibrahim working his magic on the bride once again. Nishaa picked her trusted again for a baby pink and gold lehenga from @shresht-coimbatoreclothing#.Whereas Suhas’s suit was from Gatsby, Chennai paired with a classy pocket square and bow tie by SatyaPaul.The delicate jewellery for the reception was by Dar and the intricate bangles by @anya-where-tradition-meets-fashionclothing#. The photography was done by Team Niram who did an excellent job with the couple’s portraits.The couple opted for a honeymoon at the Krabi islands, staying at the Tubakaak Krabi Boutique resort for 4 days. The bride was all praises for the destination, falling in love with Thai food, the private beach, the water activities (snorkelling, kayaking) and the endless shopping.
