Aarti plates or Seer Thattu is an important part of a Hindu ritual. The family of the bride welcomes the newly wedded groom and bride at the entrance of the wedding venue and while welcoming them home as a couple for the first time. This is done so as to remove the negative vibes around them. But that's not all! It is also a traditional ceremony which is done while worshipping at the temples as a gesture of reverence to the deities. The significance of aarti in Indian tradition is so high that even aarti plates are selected only after a lot of scrutiny. A lot of emphasis is placed on the decoration of Aarti plates to make it appear elegant and beautiful.
Seer Thattu in Tamil are creatively decorated and displayed during the engagement ceremonies. These plates were decorated by EVES -The Bridal and Fashion Jewellery Studio.
