Studying for years in the same school, we ended up knowing each other only in college. Being fairly new to the college space. my friend and I were looking around for familiar faces and that’s when we spotted him. He was my senior in college. Soon we exchanged numbers , got talking, fell in love and the rest is history.
Our wedding was a small, intimate and cozy wedding. It was more like a celebration with friends and family. They came from all over India - Delhi, Bombay, Hyderabad, Pune, Bangalore just to celebrate our big day and relive our old memories.
Our wedding started off with poojas in both our houses. The wedding week kickstarted with the mehendi function which happened in my house at G.V Residency. For my mehendi , I wore a crop top and a skirt which was designed by @nadiya-design-studio# in Coimbatore.
After which was my Sangeeth for which I wore a lehenga from @mokshaa# in Chennai. My Sangeeth was full of dances and fun. My husband gave a surprise performance and swept me right off my feet.
Our wedding took place in the beautiful and serene Saradhambal temple in Race Course for which I picked up a saree from @varamahalakshmi-silks# in Kanchipuram. Most of my sarees were from there.
Our reception was in Kurunji hall in Sathy road. I wore a beautiful designer saree from @mokshaa# for that. Ashwath’s outfits were from @vivek-karunakaran# in Chennai.
My blouses were fashioned by @nazia-syed# in Chennai. My jewellery were from Amrapali and Devraj Nansee in Chennai.
The décor for our wedding was completely conceptualised and designed by my sister Arthi who did a wonderful job and was executed by Backdrop Events, Coimbatore.
My makeup artist was @steffhy-antony#. She did an amazing job with the beautification and gave me flawless radiant look. Photography was by @the-memory-writers# who have given us memories to cherish for life.
For my beauty regime I went to Ritz Salon in Ramanathapuram. They have amazing per-bridal packages so I did all my pampering from them. We planned an exotic honeymoon to Maldives in a resort named Ayada. It was a blissful stay for a week.
To the would-brides, make sure you don’t try anything new in regard to beauty products right before the wedding. Stick to something that your skin is used to and also someone you have already been to. If you are working women planning a wedding could be extremely stressful. So find your go to person someone who you can completely rely on to help you with the planning.
