Bride Of The Month - November'15

Bride Of The Month - November'15

While generally we have had stories of Brides wanting perfection with the things that are put together at their wedding, being a graduate in Fashion makes it all the more fair to only want a different range of perfection. A bride who dreams, creates and loves watching things fall perfectly in place, Nivetha's story has a whole range of interesting details put together. Read on!

Hi! This is Nivetha Sakkarapani. I'm from a small town near Dindigul. But I spent almost 15 years in Coimbatore. I did my schooling in St. Hildas and Avila Convent, then my UG in fashion at PSG tech.

First of all I want to thank Shopzters for being my Wedding Planning Bible, helping through the entire shopping spree and Prasitha for this opportunity!Ours was an arranged marriage.

I met Shriram, a Doctor from Pollachi, in a temple near Palani on June 4th 2015. He is the most caring, compassionate and understanding life partner anyone could ask for. He made me feel loved and comfortable from the very beginning. The week after our meeting we had our Uruthi Vaarthai function. The engagement was on August 20th, wedding and reception on September 16th & 20th.

I barely had a month to do my shopping! To be honest I was done with all the shopping from jewellery to shoes in ten days!

Being a control freak, I wanted to plan everything on my own. Here is the list of vendors I chose for my wedding.

Fell in Love with the Saree collection at Sandhana Krishna, Kancheepuram. I bought all my sarees here. They have silk at its purest form.

Blouse designing was done by Anya, Coimbatore. Needless to say, this boutique is outstanding. Apart from their fabulous designs I would like to say that they provide the best customer care ever. Thank you Anya and team!

Salwars, I was able to pick from PSR Silks, Coimbatore. My western wear and accessories were from Shoppers Stop, Coimbatore. I couldn't think of a better place than Cobblers and Metro for my Footwear.

I got my Makeover done at Angel Parlor, Erode. With their professional airbrush makeup and mac HD they can make anyone look stunning.

Wedding Docor was by Andal Decorations (Balaguru), Karur. He being our family friend patiently listened to my needs and the decors came out better than I expected.

Our Caterers were Jayram and team, Ottanchatram. He along with 6 other teams catered for our function and the food was appreciated by all our guests.

Being an MLA for the past 20 years my dad wanted to invite all the people in his constituency for our wedding reception. Around 1,50,000 members attended the function! I would like to thank all of them for their blessings.

Thanks to Airtel Super Singer\ team and Manada Mayilada team for keeping the crowd entertained.

Photography was done by the most talented @studio-a# (for wedding and reception) Im so happy that I chose them to shoot our most important day because they made it more memorable. Thank you Amar and team for making sure to capture every single detail that made us smile, laugh and cry!

@aishwarya-videos# (for all other functions) did an exquisite job on the videos. This team is so dedicated and they strive so hard to exceed our expectations and they do so! The candid videos were just amazing! Check out our engagement video here:

Special thanks to all our family members and friends for your love!

For the Brides-To-Be:

1. Don't stress yourself, keep calm and enjoy the moments.

2. Don't skip your meal, walk a mile to burn those calories instead.

3. Don't try anything new on your skin, just a facial and eyebrow shaping is enough for your day!

4. Keep smiling!

Make sure not to plan a hectic honeymoon right after your wedding. Get away somewhere near and peaceful. Save the big plans for a little later. We just got back from Orange County, Coorg and it was heaven on Earth!

I can vouch for it when I say, 'When in doubt about your vendors or wedding shopping, contact Shopzters'. They helped me a great deal :)
