Our beautiful bride exclaims “I don’t know how or when it happened. It just did. We were friends and then we fell for each other. It was a “gut feeling” that can’t be expressed by words.” You know it’s right when you can’t express why or how you fall in love with a person. This is what happened with our bride Pooja Reddy and our dashing groom Vijay Singh who were colleagues in a bio pharmaceutical company. When her friend and colleague Vijay asked if she felt what he felt, they knew they were meant to be.
Like every parents who are initially skeptical about marrying their children to their loved ones, their parents were against them marrying but nodded in agreement once the families met. Wedding bells tolled and their wedding date was fixed.
The made for each other couple had a Telugu style 5-day wedding with ceremonies like Bride making ceremony, Bangle ceremony, Mehandi, Engagement, Wedding and a reception in Bangalore and another reception in Lucknow.
The bride was super busy and had very little time to plan and shop for her wedding. She explains how Shopzters and other social media platforms gave her inspirations for décor, make up and other wedding planning.
Due to lack of time the bride could only shop during weekends and pampered herself only once in a parlour before the big day. Like her, we believe that marrying the right person makes you smile and happy brides are the prettiest!
The bride wore magnificent Kanjeevarams during her wedding ceremonies and says that she shopped in Prakash silks, Kanjeepuram were she has shopped with her mom ever since she can remember. She also explains how she knew the right saree the minute she saw it. She states that she could see herself getting married in that saree. Her blouses were stunning and she had them custom made in Needle eye, Bangalore. She wore regal looking jewelry that was from Neelkanth jewelers and Sri Krishana jewelers, Bangalore. The groom was handsomely dressed in wardrobe from Maanyavar. The couple looked stunning in every ceremony and they sure looked made-for-each-other.
The bride chose the décor for her wedding and wanted a little green colour to pop up in all the decors. She had a beautiful coconut leaf thatched mandap for her wedding with a back drop of gorgeous pink and white flowers. The catering was done by Udhaya caterers, who were their usual choice for any ceremony that happened in their family. The guests enjoyed Authentic South Indian food and a variety of fusion food during their weddings.

The couple went on a road trip to Agra for the honeymoon from Lucknow after their reception. What better way to bond and have fun? A refreshing road trip is all you need to rejuvenate after a hectic wedding?
Pooja describes how her mom and friends were her pillar of support during the entire wedding and planning. She adds that Vijay was the one who kept her grounded during all the hassle. She adds that Vijay is her rock and that she felt serene and peaceful amongst all the chaos when he tied the knot! She declares that she will cherish this beautiful moment for the rest of her life.
“You know it’s right when everything is out of focus except you and him!” And this happened to our elegant bride.
