Tasteful TamBram X Mallu wedding of a “made for each other” couple!
Pretty bride Parvathy and the dashing groom Vignesh knew each other since high school. It wasn’t until stars aligned after 8 years they took an interest on each other. Parvathy found herself constantly texting Vignesh, who was pursuing his post graduation in Sweden. Thus began a beautiful friendship that slowly morphed into understanding, yearning and love for each other.
The sweetest part of this love story is how Vignesh made sure to get his parents nod before he asked Parvathy to be his better half. The starry eyed bride explained that everything fell into place once her brother and mother gave their blessing after the first meeting with the Vignesh. Voilà! The wedding bells rang!!
WARDROBE
The couple looked picture perfect n every ensemble they wore. Parvathy shopped at Kasavukada , Ernakulam for her traditional mundu saree and Yashasvi collection at Bangalore for reception and wedding silks. Her sangeeth lehenga was from L’affaire, designer boutique at Delhi. Vignesh looked dapper in ethnic wear from Fab India and semi-formals from Louis Philippe.
JEWELLERY
Parvathy wore unique and bold pieces of jewellery that was custom made by her ancestral jeweller. She explains her love for chuncky and big piece which her jeweller customized as per her design ideas. She also wore ornamental pieces from Amrapali and Arnav Jewellery, Bangalore and looked nothing less than a princess.
MAKEUP
Parvathy was a vision in a natural looking make up by Disha Kaira and hair do by Mini. The bride adds that the makeup artist and the hairstylist were open to her suggestions and made her look like her best self rather than ending up looking like a photo shopped version of her.
PHOTOGRAPHY
The big moments, candid smiles of friends and family were captured by "@poostories# by Akshaya Vaidhyanathan" and her team. They were the couples first choice and they chose her as her team was flexible, non- intrusive, understanding and gave excellent output.
VENUE
After the wedding ceremony at Guruvayoor temple, other wedding events like oonjal and meeting the bride and groom took place in Deva Ragam hall, Guruvayoor. The stage was elegantly adorned with Kerala’s traditional mural backdrop and flowers. The events were followed by an appetizing Kerala fest, catered by the in-house caterer. A grand reception was held in Coimbatore at Codissia complex where the couple we blessed by their loved ones, followed by a delicious dinner by Ronak catering. The décor for the event was done by Aparna.
HONEYMOON
The couple enjoyed a quiet and private time after the wedding gala, at the picturesque and luxurious Taj resorts and spa, Bekal. The Resort is situated in the Kerala /Karnataka border in a quaint location where couple took time off to unwind and rejuvenate.
The family and friends of the couple had a fun and the couple say that they enjoyed the wedding without any pressure or stress of umpteen number of rituals that is usually performed. The entire wedding was a celebration of love and custom made to accommodate only the most important rituals from both their customs.
Parvathy mentions that her favourite moment during the wedding was when she first caught the glance of Vignesh during the thaali tying ceremony. It struck her then, that all she wished for was happening and the big moment was there!
She also mentions another lighter moment she had, when she saw an Instagram post by Vignesh captioned “After wedding swag”. She says that the video of Vignesh with his friend on their big day cracked her up and will always be cherished.
