Indhu, the beautiful bride is here to tell us their wedding story! We both are doctors; Rishi is doing his post graduation in MS Orthopaedics and I’m doing my post graduation in MD General medicine.

We were friends for the past 7 years which turned into love 2 and 1/2 years back. As we both are already related and have loads of common friends. It was so easy to communicate and the wedding was definitely a big celebration for both the families.

Being a medicine post graduate it was very difficult to squeeze in time for shopping. Wedding blogs were my saviours. Right from the decor to bridal attire they give so much information. Jewellery: Most of my jewels were bought now and then. I didn’t have to do much of wedding jewellery shopping. My favorites are PMJ Jewellers, Swarnsri Jewellers and Anjaneya jewelers. They’ve got loads of elegant jewellery. I bought most of my jewellery from Swarnasri Jewellers.

Sangeet: We didn’t have a regular Sangeet, instead we had a cocktail night with a dance floor and a wide spread Nawabi cuisine. The food was amazing. We had Nawabi cooks who came from Hyderabad race course. We had a flash mob instead of routine dance performance. We arranged stalls for games, caricature, live bangles etc.

I loved my cocktail outfit which was an elegant indo-western lehenga by dolly J.

The decor came out really good and was done by Sameer decors.

We had 3 "pellikuthuru" functions and a mehendi night at home in which I incorporated different decors and had different dress codes for each day too.

Day 1: Kanchipattu - I bought mine in Santhanam silks, Kancheepuram Day 2: Ikkat. I bought mine from Kalanikethan. Day 3: Benaras. I bought mine from Tulsi silks, Chennai The Mehendi lehengas was done Honeys Boutique, Vijayawada.

Wedding: Décor – Sameer Decors Sarees – Gaurang Shah and Tulsi Silks Designer for Blouses: Mrunalini rao and Vaishali. They were stitched to perfection. Caterers: All of my events were catered by Priya caterers. The food was amazingAfter an extensive research about makeup artists I zeroed down to BLUSH - by Nagu Tadala and my photos stand testimony to his excellent work. I would definitely recommend BLUSH for all the future brides.Pelli poola Jada did my flower jada which looked extremely beautiful !Photography: I can write loads about Amar Ramesh - STUDIO A and his team.

The best thing I did was hiring Amar and his team. I didn’t research much about photographers as the minute I saw Amar's work, I was so impressed and I decided he’ll be shooting my wedding and he did capture our memories in style. The wedding film done by studio A was so good.

We honeymooned in Paris, Switzerland and Greece for 2 weeks. Greece is such an amazing place! Oia sunset and the cruise from Athens to Santorini are the best and the dinner cruise along Eiffel tower is worth mentioning.
