A Konkani Engagement With Pastel Shades And Pink Hues

A wedding that was arranged by parents and falling head over heels for each other after entering into the official betroth-hood, that’s the story of Shilpa Sarvotham, an ex-Jet Airways employee and who is taking care of her dad’s business now and Rahul Shenoy who is into banking.

The two met over their parents’ proposal and are now awaiting their wedding that’s on the 9th of February 2018. Shilpa speaks to Shopzters about her beautiful engagement. Let’s hear it from her now.

“As both families are Konkanis, ours was a typical traditional Konkani affair.

I wore a Lehenga from Soch, Indore as my initial outfit. Later, I wore a saree that was a gift from my in-laws. It was from Jayalakshmi Silks, Kochi and my jewelry were from TBZ. Rahul wore a blue sherwani from @manyavar#.

My hair styling and makeup was by Jeena from Kochi. People in Kerala are usually very much dolled up. While Jeena gave me one such look I was very reluctant since I thought it was going to over-do the whole effect. But to my surprise every guest at the wedding loved it and what more can I ask for?

Photography needs were taken care of by @calypso-wedding-studio# from Kochi. They were very supportive the whole time and did what would exactly suit us and favour us. They are a crew who are extremely supportive and easy to communicate.

I usually follow cleansing, toning and moisturizing on an everyday basis and that was the exact same routine I followed for the engagement too. I also love sleeping masks and I believe everyone should make it a routine to cleanse, tone and moisturize for a better-looking skin.
