Far East Honeymoons!

With all the fancy for pretty snow-capped mountains of Switz and the night lights of New York, we have yet to discover some of the most culture-rich and mystical pockets of the globe. A honeymoon to these cities might just redefine your idea of romance and travel. Shopzters brings to you some of the most interesting and fabulous far-east cities to hit this 2015. Each week we will explore a new country from where we sit, and take a tour of these dizzyingly interesting places, a country a week. This week we travel to the land of the rising sun - Japan! When to go? The loveliest season to visit is March and April. This is when Japan is in full bloom and the cherry blossom viewing is one of the most exclusive and beautiful experience of visiting the country. You cannot miss this, because every street, park and city is bursting with bloom. The pink laden trees stretches for miles and can be viewed in all their beauty from just about anywhere whether it's on a picnic blanket in a park in Tokyo or at the Japanese style Sankei-en gardens at Kyoto. It's a sight to behold! What to do? Sitting on volcanic rocks, Japan has built many ingenious 'Onsen' or hot springs. Ideally designed for couples, these hot spring resorts sit in the nice, remote parts of Japan where the traffic and lights are out of sight, and unwinding takes on a whole new meaning. The futon-padded and art fitted wooden Japanese rooms give an experience of a life-time. It's one of the most personal vacations one could ask for. Beautiful castles from the Meiji and Edo period along with gardens adorn the quieter side of the country, besides hike trails and of course, Mount Fuji. Worth a million pictures, these are the places you want to visit if you want to get away from the city scene alone with your partner. For those in love with a night in the town, the capital is the place to be. Tokyo, the most populous metropolis is also home to the stellar looking Tokyo tower and Tokyo Sky-tree which is a chief attraction, which gives a stunning view of the skyline from a jaw-dropping elevation. Along with this are the cosmopolitan districts of Shinjuku and Shibuya which pulse with night life and glitter. You can spend all day and night there to explore the markets and still not be nearly done. Japan is also home to Universal studios Tokyo Disney-sea for those who love a good theme park outing. What to eat? Sushi bars offer exquisite fine-dining experience, although being a little on the steeper side. Japan is also known for its vibrant street food that will call out to you. A few to try on the go are Takoyaki, Sukiyaki and Tonkatsu which are al variants in the fried food department. Ramen, the nation's favourite 9 pm food is another charming dish you must try at a small restaurant joint with your beau. Sake, the Japanese spirit is also an integral part of the culture. It is an experience, so don't count before you take a shot of Japan. It's nothing like you've imagined. Its better!
