A Breezy Telugu Engagement By The Beach
Aiswarya the very gorgeous bride tells us how her engagement happened. Read on to know her story.
Hi this is Aiswarya, I'm doing my post-graduation in general medicine in SriRamachandra University, Chennai. My fiancé Rahul is my senior in the same dept. We met in 2010 during our MBBS days when he ragged me in my first year. (yeah. I was his junior there too). We developed a good rapport instantly with ease and liked each other's company. Even though we met each other long ago it was only in 2016 after I joined in Chennai that we realised how much we valued each other in our lives and decided to take the next step. Our families hit it off very easily as both of our families were very similar.
We got engaged in my hometown Visakhapatnam. I always wanted to have a beach wedding event and dreamt of it my whole life being a true Vizagite. We had mehendi night in palm beach followed by an engagement ceremony next morning in Novotel Hotel.
Since I am a first year post graduate student I didn't have a lot of time to explore many stores. I entirely depended on the internet. Wedding blogs, specially Shopzters was my favourite. My best friend and his sister helped me a lot in the selection process.
Mehendi - For the mehendi we chose a traditional set up right on the sea shore. I wore an Aneesh Agarwal lehenga which I bought it in @evoluzione#, Chennai. They have quite a good collection of designer wear. Flower jewellery- Pellipooljada. Rahul wore a customised @anushree-reddyclothing# Bandhi.
Engagement - I wore a @mrunalini-rao# lehenga from Angasutra, Hyderabad and paired it with a matching Sabyasachi clutch. (I matched one with my mehendi outfit too bring a crazy handbag lover). My saree was from @a-s-babu-sah#, Kanchipuram. I got the blouse done by a Hyderabad local designer, Basha. Rahul wore a blazer from @gabbana-life#, Chennai and later changed into a @sabyasachi-hyderabad# outfit.
Décor was by Razzmatazz. We just told Rahul(razzmatazz) what we wanted and how we wanted and he just turned it into reality. It was brilliant. Make up was by magical makeover. I got to know them through my friend and I really like their work. I'm so glad I picked them. They did a wonderful job.
Photo/Videography- Memorylanes productions, @suman-chakri-photography# Suman chakri has always been my most favourite. I am a big fan of their work and I constantly view their Facebook page. I always knew I was going to choose them for my events and I’m really happy it came true. My photos stand as a beautiful testimony to their talent.
