A Desi Baby Shower In Aussieland

Motherhood sure is the greatest blessings that God can bestow upon mankind. And Priya from Sydney was fortunate to get to celebrate that feeling in the form of a baby shower with her closest friends and family. Here is her story in her words-

What started as planning for my husband’s birthday and my son’s 5th birthday (while 7 months pregnant) turned out to be my “Baby Sprinkles” (2nd baby) as well. For me, I wanted it to be all about family, friends and spending a good time with them. 

All the planning started when my brother, sister-in-law and my niece from Abu Dhabi decided to come to Sydney, Australia to visit us. My first thought was - what am I gonna wear? I didn’t have a clue about how big I will be when baby sprinkles happen? My Anni asked me to check out Tamara Chennai’s festive collection. She then suggested the Yellow And green dress. I got in touch with Tamara Chennai and their quick, prompt response had me order my dress in no time. 

Then came the food. My friend got me in touch with “That Tikka Guy” in Sydney, Australia. Amit who runs this awesome food business came home and we decided on the menu. It is Indian chargrilled food made right in front of your eyes. 

Since we were celebrating 3 occasions I needed one cake to reflect all three. Ameena Fibeer from Pat-a-cake Sydney did an amazing job with the bottom layer reflecting the Mario theme, middle layer for hubby’s birthday and the top layer reflecting baby sprinkle.
