An Extravagant Kannadiga Wedding With Scads Of Colour And Flavour
Lakshmi, a bachelor in finance and also who was an anchor at Sun Group of Networks, hosting movie based shows for over 7 and a half years and then took a break, Nithin works as a senior operations manager in Amazon in the U.S. These two love birds had worked out a long-distance relationship into a beautiful one. They both were introduced to each other by a common friend and things started heating up between them. While their first meet was very filmy at an airport and Lakshmi had to run back and forth from the U.S to India just to see her prince charming, the love story ended in a beautiful marriage of two hearts across borders.Let’s hear it from our bubbly and chirpy bride herself.
“The wedding was set to be on the 1st of October 2017 with blessings from all my friends and family alike. We had 4 events on the whole. The Mehndi, the Sangeeth cum cocktail, the reception and the Muhurtham.
For the Mehndi I wore a crop top and a skirt designed by one of my friends named Saanvi. Nithin wore a Kurti from @manyavar#. Since I was used to applying makeup during shoot days, I did my makeup for the night.
My mehndi was by someone called Asma who is pretty famous here in Bangalore. She did a very good job while her sister accompanied her for other relatives. Decorations were by Wedding Solutions who also happens to be my friend. They did a great job with all the girly and cute illustrations with the decors.
For the Sangeeth I wore a designer gown from Delhi matching it with brilliant accessories from Delhi as well. Nithin wore a custom-made Kurti from @manyavar#, again.
All my jewelry were either from @malabar-gold-and-diamonds#, Navratan or Sri Rama Jewellers. My nethi chutti was picked up from a shop in T.Nagar, Chennai.
For the reception I wore a bright tomato red lehenga designed by Aanchal Bridal Gallery, Commercial Street, Bangalore. Jewelry for the event were by @kushals-fashion-jewellery# . I wanted to wear gold or diamond jewelry. Since they weren’t going with the outfit, I had to look for something at the last minute. Thanks to Kushal’s, they made it easier for me. We had a vintage theme with bird cages, photo booths and the like. Nithin’s tuxedo was designed by P N Rao, Bangalore. Makeup was by @makeup-by-vejetha-anand#. I loved her looks and I am deeply satisfied with her service.
My reception followed by the Muhurtham was set to be at the palace grounds in Vruksha. This place looks like an old vintage temple and we liked the effect of it.
My 9 yards silk saree and the other one was from @prakashsilksandsarees#, Kanchipuram. Nithin’s custom-made silk dhothi was also from Kanchipuram.
Catering was by Sharadha catering. They take care of everything and in fact they were the ones who took care of my Muhurtam and reception decorations as well. We had a vintage theme with a very traditional rendition of the temple in Thirupathi.
Photography for all the events were by Kabir Gowda from @klik-pictures#. Known for his framework, I loved all the pictures alike.
To be honest, I hogged on a lot of Ferrero Rochers prior to the wedding. Since I came to India only like 45 days before the wedding, I did not have much to do anything except for visiting the parlour once. I kept my mood happy and that sure reflected on my big day.
Our honeymoon happened to fall on my birthday and I shopped a lot and had so much fun. Nithin presented me with a beautiful Louis Vuitton as well.It was a 10-day trip to places in Italy and Swiss like Venice, Milan Zermatt and Grindelwald. These are brilliant places and everyone should never miss to visit them.
