I, Anupama and my husband Sateesh are from Canada. I work for Hilton Group of Hotels in Sales and he in a Marketing Firm. We are originally from Hyderabad. We met in shaadi.com. To add a filmy touch, when we decided to meet in person, I met with a small accident and he came to help me out. At that moment, I knew he was that one special person in my life! I am a very talkative person whereas he is a good listener. Later he had approached my parents when we were sure about it and our wedding happened on November 4th, 2016 in Hyderabad. Being a shopaholic, it was my dream to shop for my wedding. But staying in Canada and doing Skype shopping in India was kind of fun.
It was my mom’s dream to shop for my wedding too and I have to say she did the best she could. We shopped for all my sarees from Varamahalakshmi which is originally from Chennai. It was my first store in the list for pattu sarees. My Lehangas were from Neerus Emporio. They, being such a pioneer in fashion stores for weddings, were my all time favorite. All my husband’s wedding dresses and accessories were from Swayamvar. It’s a new wedding collection store opened in India, little higher end than Manyavar and we loved their collections.I got my pre-wedding gown from Taruni, Hyderabad. My Foot Wear was again from my all time favourite Steve Madden.
Gold jewellery was from Khazana Jewellers. We are very typical South Indian Brahmin family whereas my husband is a Chowdary. So, we had to add both the traditions on my wedding day. Makeup was Done by Siro Makeup studio so I didn't have to worry on that part. Soya did the best!
Every one loved the decor and more importantly, the wedding venue. 'Princeton Convention Center" is a new hidden gem in the city owned by Best Western Hotels. I planned all my events to match my budget and our customs. As I was brought up by a single parent, arranging everything for my wedding was by mom and me. That did put a lot of pressure on us.
Weddings are the best occasions of life! So, I had to use all my creativity, bling in it. Thanks to my Decorator Krishna and all the hard work on my Designer blouses By Syed From Hyderabad. We bought all the necessary bling and flowers from Pelli poola Jada. My wedding photographer was Zoticus Productions found in through photography blogs and loved their work , Sri clicked the best pre wedding shoot pictures! When we started inviting the people, they just loved our four fold wedding card which was very unique.
Our Honeymoon was in Los Angeles as we wanted to spend some time in the sun and sand and we loved those ten days we spent there! Loved every bit of LA where you feel like you are so close to fame (laugh)Whale watching was so much fun as it was our first time. Spending life with person you know makes a bit of difference than marrying a stranger.
