Photography of the month – November!

Happy to feature Aishwarya Videos from our very own Coimbatore in this edition of Photography of the month. A bigwig in the Coimbatore wedding photography scenario and more than 20 years of experience in wedding photography, Mr.Ravishankar, takes a trip down the memory lane, to narrate his journey from an amateur photographer that he was, to the wedding professional that he is today. I was a good athlete during my school days with a host of medals to my credit in the state level competitions. And one day I injured my leg; and life took a different turn. I could't understand that becoming a sports person was a distant dream. It was then I turned towards photography which was my hobby. After graduating from PSG Arts College, I joined Photo Centre which was ably spearheaded by a brilliant photographer Mr. Maruthachalam. After having worked there for 1 1/2 years, I took the plunge. Lively subjects interested me the most and the obvious choice was wedding photography. I am also very much passionate about it because it has helped me become a part of the happiest moments of several people. The enjoyment, I must say, is indeed immense. With my hard work, I have been blessed with an impressive clientele. I am happy and proud to say that I have photographed the weddings and events of Lakshmi Mills, P.S.G.R. Krishnammal, Suguna Farms, KG group of companies, G.V.G, Udumalpet, Ellen Hospital, Pazhamudhir etc. I got an opportunity to photograph Lakshmi Mills, Mrs. Rajshree Pathy's daughter's wedding which was a massive one and probably the first wedding in Codissia. My photos are mostly candid shots clicked continuously without a break so that I do not interrupt the wedding rituals. Our trumpcard is that we use the best equipment that is available all high end cameras and good and impressive printing. Photography is indeed a viable business but of course we have to be skilled and trained to master it. My sincere thanks to all the Coimbatoreans who have supported me right from the beginning.
